Dealers and customers can now access MPS Monitor 2.0 Web Portal using their organization’s credentials, thanks to Okta Identity integration
MPS Monitor®, the developer and distributor of the leading platform for the remote monitoring and management of printers and multifunctional devices, has announced that the company’s SaaS platform is now integrated with Okta, the leading independent identity provider. Okta Identity integration provides Single Sign-On (SSO) access to authenticate users on the MPS Monitor 2.0 Portal. The integration is available immediately to all MPS Monitor 2.0 users worldwide.
MPS Monitor’s Okta integration ensures Managed Print Services providers and customers benefit from maximum security and ease of access to the SaaS platform. Users can now access the platform using their company account credentials, which avoids the burden of creating and maintaining dedicated logins and passwords for each specific SaaS web application.
Okta Identity integration enables users to sign on across domains with a single online “identity”. It works seamlessly in the background by passing authentication details from the user’s organizational credentials to the MPS Monitor SaaS service, in a secure and private manner. This helps to save time and money by simplifying the user experience, but also greatly increases the security profile of the platform by preventing the use of insecure or weak credentials.
Customers relying on Microsoft Active Directory (or on Azure AD) for their identity infrastructure, can simply connect MPS Monitor to their Active Directory domain using the Okta integration, to achieve a complete SSO experience. Even if they do not currently use Okta Identity technology, customers and dealers can easily activate the integration using the free Okta Cloud Connect service for MPS Monitor. The free service can be activated from this link: https://www.okta.com/mps-monitor/
For current Okta customers, all of the benefits of SSO integration are available in MPS Monitor through the standard Okta Integration Network OIDC App, which is available to licensed Okta customers from this page: https://www.okta.com/integrations/mps-monitor/
“Our holistic approach to Print Security involves, among all other critical factors, a secure approach to user authentication for SaaS cloud applications. The current and most common habit of assigning a specific set of credentials for each user to each SaaS service does not meet the most demanding security requirements for user identity and credentials safety. This is especially true with the new Work From Home environment, where business users are working from Zero-Trust home networks most of the time. Partnering with Okta to create a deep integration between our SaaS application and the customer’s secure identity infrastructure provides an additional and very important step to ensuring full and comprehensive compliance with the most stringent security standards and requirements. We are also very happy to grant our customers free access to Okta technology through the Okta Cloud Connect program, so that all of them can benefit from this integration, even if they are not yet Okta subscribers.” says Nicola De Blasi, CEO of MPS Monitor.
“At Okta, we’re on a mission to enable every organization to seamlessly and securely use any technology,” said Ernesto Di Mauro, Territory Manager at Okta. “By bringing together industry leaders in identity and access management and remote monitoring and management for office printing devices, we are able to increase the security and usability of MSP Monitor’s SaaS services to their global users. The integration of MSP Monitor with the Okta Identity Cloud enables organizations to access the MPS Monitor SaaS platform through a fully secure Single Sign-On process using their company account.”
